Privacy policy

Who we are

This website (accessdeniedbook.co) is operated by Jemma Davis as the author of the book Access Denied. For any privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, contact info@accessdeniedbook.co.

What data we collect

This site is a static informational website about the book. It does not include sign-up forms, contact forms, accounts, comments, or newsletter subscriptions. We do not ask you for, or store, your name, email address or any other personal information directly on this site.

The site does not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. No personal data is sold or shared.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and to keep the site running. These logs are kept only for as long as necessary for those purposes. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies

We do not set any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The only client-side storage we use is a small entry in your browser's local storage to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice, so we don't keep showing it. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

See our cookie notice for details.

Links to other sites

This site links out to third-party services such as Amazon (to buy the book) and LinkedIn. Once you follow those links, the receiving site's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We have no control over what they collect.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not collect personal data through this website, in practice these requests would only relate to limited server log data, if any. To make a request, email info@accessdeniedbook.co.

If you are in the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you are in the EU/EEA, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
